Newsletter Content Creator

Time Commitment: 2-4 hours a month (minimum 1 piece a month)

Position Overview:
WORTH Association is seeking a passionate and skilled Volunteer Content Writer to join our team. As a content creator, you will play a crucial role in creating compelling and engaging written content and sharing the value of WORTH through storytelling. Your work will help educate, attract and engage members and contribute to promoting WORTH’s initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Content Creation:
Produce high-quality, engaging content to be shared across WORTH’s newsletter, website and social media channels.
Complete assigned content related to WORTH Association's initiatives, events, and success stories.
Help with image curation and layout of the WORTH newsletter.
Desire to proactively research and recommend article and educational guide ideas for review and approval by WORTH’s Director of Communications is an asset.
Editing and Proofreading:
Ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency in all written submissions.
Collaborate with other team members to refine and proofread other contributors' content.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the marketing and communication team to align content with organizational goals and strategies.
Collaborate with subject matter experts and program coordinators to gather information and insights for content creation.
Adherence to Guidelines:
Follow WORTH brand guidelines and maintain a consistent tone and style across all written materials.
Stay informed about relevant industry trends and topics worth highlighting.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a content writer or copywriting role.
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Strong research skills and attention to detail.
Passion for social impact and community development.
Experience with Mailchimp and Squarespace is an asset.
