WORTH PRESENTS OUR INAUGURAL LEADERSHIP SUMMIT

This Spring, women-identifying leaders and their allies in recreation, tourism, and hospitality will come together for a full-day industry event. Top voices in the sector will share inspiring ideas to spark dialogue about issues that impact women in the workplace. Their perspectives will inform, ignite, and empower to collectively identify ways to retain and develop women in the industry. This event will connect a community of leaders to expand their network and create meaningful relationships.

  • Empower Her

    WORTH Association and women of recreation, tourism, and hospitality join for an evening of networking with an inspiring panel discussion. Empower Her events aim to connect a community of leaders to expand their network and create meaningful relationships. The city’s top female tourism and hospitality leaders share inspiring ideas with the intention of sparking dialogue about issues that impact women in the workplace. Their perspectives hope to inform, inspire, and empower those who attend to collectively identify ways to accelerate women to senior roles in the industry.

  • Yes Shef

    During this unique culinary experience, guests enjoyed tasting stations throughout the Fairmont Pacific Rim's stunning Star Sapphire Ballroom, savouring delights crafted and curated by female-led teams. Noteworthy Chefs collaborated with student apprentices from the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts to develop and execute a signature dish. Leading Winemakers, Sommeliers, Brewers and Bar Professionals served wine, beer and cocktail creations.

  • Seat At The Table

    WORTH Association brought 50 industry professionals together for a solutions-oriented workshop. CapU students, The Sociable Scientist and WORTH Board of Directors were on hand to lead participants through a series of discussions on inclusion, rewards, advancement, retention, flexibility and fair treatment. The research we gathered resulted in an industry-wide call to action to drive change with informed recommendations.
