Position Overview:

WORTH Association is seeking a dedicated Volunteer Website Administrator to play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our online presence. As a website administrator, you will be responsible for keeping online content up-to-date and ensuring a positive user experience. Your technical expertise will contribute to the seamless delivery of information, community engagement, and promotion of WORTH's initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Content Management:

    • Upload and organize new content, including monthly newsletter articles, event information, opportunities and resources.

    • Keep on top of scheduled content and proactively reorganize date-specific content.

    • Ensure proper tagging for content to maximize discoverability.

    • Provide feedback and recommendations to enhance WORTH’s website user-friendliness and navigation.

  • SEO Implementation:

    • Conduct keyword research and implement on-page SEO best practices to improve search engine rankings.

    • Optimize website content, meta tags, and images for improved visibility on search engines.

  • Website Maintenance & Security

    • Monitor Squarespace website performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal functionality.

    • Implement and maintain security measures to protect the website from potential threats.

    • Conduct regular backups to safeguard critical data and content.

Qualifications:

  • Administrator experience using Squarespace.

  • Strong understanding of web design principles, user experience, and SEO best practices.

  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and other relevant web development languages.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
