2024 Board of Directors

About WORTH Association:

Incorporated in 2018, WORTH Association is proud to be the only society in British Columbia dedicated to advancing women in the recreation, tourism, and hospitality industries. Our mission is to educate, elevate and empower women to collectively move the dial. Our vision is to develop a community of confident, connected women who accelerate their leadership ambitions.

WORTH has initiated and leads a series of impactful networking events, webinars, skills training, mentorship programs, leadership education and resources to equip women in the recreation, tourism and hospitality sector with connections, support, training, and tools to support their career ambitions. We host annual events such as Yes Shef: a celebration of women in food and beverage, the WORTH Leadership Summit, and the Empower Her series in select cities across BC.

We attract a range of members, from students new to the industry to women working in senior management roles. While we use the term ‘women’ in our name, we represent all individuals who identify as female and encourage men to join in our efforts. We welcome trans, cis, genderqueer, and non-binary people in our community.

WORTH Association operates on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Coast Salish peoples; šxʷməθkʷəy̓əmaɁɬ təməxʷ (Musqueam), S’ólh Téméxw (Stó:lō), Skwxwú7mesh-ulh Temíx̱w (Squamish) and səl̓ilwətaɁɬ təməxʷ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
