Meet our group of panellists who will be sharing inspiring ideas with the intention of sparking dialogue about issues that impact women in the workplace.
Some of her favorite events she has produced to date have involved high-profile sporting events, such as the Super Bowl, US Open, Wimbledon, UEFA Nations Final and Formula 1.

Indigenous Worx is also the parent company for a destination management collective designed to manage the post-pandemic traveller landscape called Travel Local.
With over twenty years in the hospitality industry, Kathryn offers tremendous business and leadership value to her clients and the industry. Her hotel and restaurant experience includes the Fairmont Chateau Whistler, The Fairmont Empress, The Olympic Hotel Seattle, The Fairmont Vancouver Airport, The Westin Ottawa, the Westin Edmonton and the Coast Coal Harbour Hotel.
Living and working in destinations throughout Canada has provided her with a platform to engage in the business community through active involvement in BIA’s, Chambers, or DMF’s throughout every city she has been a part of. This has accumulated in fourteen diverse board seats in major Canadian destinations. Kathryn currently holds an elected position on the Board of Directors for the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce.
Community engagement and volunteerism is also a fundamental part of Kathryn’s everyday life. She lives these values in a variety of ways, whether it was the five years as a head coach with Coquitlam Metro Ford, building community easter-egg hunts for 35 neighbourhood children, or creating a fundraiser for a local women’s shelter, Kathryn is always looking for ways to help her community’s vibrancy. In her spare time, Kathryn is dedicated to spending time with her partner, her three children and her dog in natural outdoor spaces. Together they have hiked the Westcoast Trail, the Sunshine Coast Trail and regularly pick a local spot to hike up to and pitch a tent for a night.
The award-winning Salmon n’Bannock Bistro opened its doors February 15, 2010 and proudly showcases Indigenous cuisine with a modern palate. Salmon n’Bannock on the fly is now open at YVR International Departures - the first time in Canadian history an Indigenous restaurant in any Canadian airport. Inez and Salmon n’ Bannock have been featured in several international media outlets including The BBC, National Geographic, CNN, The Guardian, The New York Times, The San Fransisco Chronicle, der Spiegel, Samatha Brown, Moosemeat and Marmalade, Crazy like a Lynx, and Power to the People to name a few.
Inez has recently retired from 33 years in the airline industry and has lived all over the world. She always dreamed of having a restaurant that could take guests on a journey, she did not know that the journey she is taking you on is the journey within.
Candice is a native of Metro Vancouver where she was also educated with a BA from Simon Fraser University and has furthered her studies at the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
She served for four years on the Board of Directors for the Pacific Coast Public Television Association and is currently the Chair of the regional Community Advisory Board for KCTS9/Cascade Public Media in Washington State and BC. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering for community charities in the Tri-city area where she currently resides.
